Ever since I upgraded to Autocad 2022, things have been acting up..

My current problem is that Holding SHIFT will not temp override into ORTHO mode. I has always worked before. I already have the key setup in the UCI nothing has changed. I even removed and added it.. restarted the program. restarded the PC.. I am out of options..

I already changed orthomode to F2.. But I like and want the original Shift as the temporary..

please help

I have the same problem. This is such an expensive program, and it's not really clear how it has such basic functionality broken..

Indeed, it's a complex program that is so customizable you pretty much need to know everything and how to fix it.

The easy button fix to remove what you may not know how to fix is this

Then there is this more drastic option

Have you tried entering "TEMPOVERIDEs" then changing the value to 1. That seems to work for me and I catch myself having to do it every so often.

Hello, did this solve your issue?
I am currently experiencing the same problem. I tried using the tempoverides method, resetting my AutoCAD, and checking if my shift button on my keyboard is working, but the problem persists.
I contacted the Autodesk team and it seems that my laptop (OMEN by HP) is the reason for the issue. We tried using another keyboard and the technician attempted to control my laptop by holding down SHIFT, and it worked perfectly fine! Therefore, we concluded that there might be an issue with the HP keyboard.

Not sure what a UCI is or what settings you've done to mess up the settings but the F8 function key also toggles ORTHO. https://help.autodesk.com/view/ACD/2025/ENU/?guid=GUID-ACAA0279-047D-458E-889F-60BBFDD40489
I'm guessing you've been messing with Keyboard Shortcuts in the CUI.
