Sheet set manager printing problems

When I try to print my layouts from the sheet set manager , in the page set up when I put monochrome and I print a PDF to my desk top it never comes out black and white it always has the colors of the layers that I use in the drawing. Is it possible to print a PDF to my desk top in black and white from the sheet set manager

Are you using vanilla autocad or some other variant?

I am using autocad 2013

@menelikMN88H "monochrome" means what please? if that is a CTB type file but your colors are truecolors (RGB for example), those do not work together and you'll never get monochrome output from them.
