Sheet Set Custom Properties

Hi,

I have set up a Sheet set template and in doing so I created some custom properties relevant to the company template.

One of these custom properties is a licence number/sentance that must be displayed when using Ordnance mapping. I would like to have this remain in the sheet set custom properties dialogue box and be able to not have it display if not needed.

I discovered using %% on a blank line will forrce a blank line to display (and not ----).

Anyone know of a similar addition to a string that will hide the line content?

In the past this attribute was set invisible and turned on using attdisp, but I want to control the line through SSM.

Thanks in advance,

Sean

PS

I have attached a jpg showing a screen shot of what I'm describing.

A blank line displays ----

%% displays a blank line

OSNOTE1 is a long winded note I'd like to keep in the SSM but hide when not needed

I'm confused, are you trying to enter the data into the SSM and hide it there?
Because you already said that %% will create a blank line in a field (so will Alt+0160 BTW).

Would placing this custom field on a separate layer so you can turn the layer on/off work ?

Hi,

thanks for replying. Yes, %% will hide a blank input and prevent '----' being input. I would like to control the osnote1 attribute (which in the past I controlled its display using atttribute visibility ,attdisp ) strictly using SSM. Since its a legal note and is worded just so, I would like not to retype it/copypaste when I need to use but somehow, include some 'magic' characters within the line to not display the text. I was showing how %% can be used to hide a blank line as a demonstration of what I was seeking.

I'm probably grasping for something that isn't there but heh they landed on the moon!

Hi,

Yes, your suggestion would work but I want to control all my attribute through the SSM. I don't think I can perform any other operation besides input attribute values through SSM. If one could turn layers on/off or set attdisp on/off/normal using input through SSM, that would certainly be the solution I'm looking for. My particular attribute is a legal note and licence number worded just so that isn't always needed on a drawing. If it could be there but somehow controllable using SSM......

Hi,

For this purpose I use a non-printing character - alt+255

I don't believe this is possible via the SSM.

To me it seems like layer on/off would be the simplest way to do this.

Especially if you had a simple lisp routine to turn this layer on/off.

Hi,

Another example of the use of non-printable character, with attributes dynamic block
