SETTING DIM LEADER ARROW SIZE

can anyone tell me how to permanently set qleader arrow head size from .042 to .07. Everytime I exit autocad 2014 I lose my settings to the original .042.

As far as I know, QLEADER arrowhead size is determined by the current DIMSTYLE, or more specifically, the value of DIMASZ.

Set this in your template or existing drawing(s).

It holds it in the drawing using dimasz, but if I exit autocad completely and go back into the same drawing it resets to 0.042.

DIMASZ is a per-drawing setting, and it doesn't change by itself: you most likely have a startup routine, created by someone in your office or by the person that set up your AutoCAD, or a favorite add-on you have. It is doing the changing for you.

DIMTSZ set to something other than zero does render DIMASZ useless.

May I ask: are you using Annotative dimstyles?

DIMTSZ is set to 0 and I tried the DIMASZ on different computers and these programs are "stand alone" but still get the same results (it resets). I am not using annotative dimstyles. Maybe I should edit the template itself? Do you know where it is normally located?

Did you try setting the Arrow size within the Dimstyle?

yes I did but when i exit and return to the drawing it resets

Attach a sample drawing containing at least one Qleader so we can confirm whether it's drawing related,  but I tend to agree with Dean that there's likely a startup routine/lisp that's setting the value for each drawing loaded.

After your drawing initializes, run the "U" command until it says "Everything has been undone"

See if DIMASZ is what you previously saved it as.

Changing the DIMASZ only changes the arrow size on dimensions. It does not change the arrow size on a leader. I am running 2018 and cannot find out how to change the arrow size on a leader. Can anyone help?
