AutoCAD is has a lag when picking a point (not a point object) in paperspace. And even more with an mview. So much so that with a dozen or so mviews the lag can be multiple seconds.
For example, with the line command, the first endpoint seems reasonable, but I get a significant lag when I pick the second point. I can pick the point, but there is about a 1/2 second lag while the cursor can't be moved. With 10 mviews the lag exceeds a second.
Same thing with the circle command, picking the center point is fine, but the next pick has a lag.
The problem doesn't occur in modespace (tilemode = 1), but it does occur with tilemode = 1 working through an mview.
This occurs in any drawing, including clean new drawings.
Hardware acceleration is turned on.
(getpoint) doesn't seem to be affected.
The pline command isn't affected.
The spline command isn't affected.
There are no custon lisp routines running (acad.lsp and acaddoc.lsp) are not in the search path.

3. First screenshot
4. Second screenshot
5. This is not a new install, though I have occasionally noticed this lag previously. I've been using this install since November 2024.
6. I do not remember experiencing this in previous versions.

I would update to latest 2025.1.2
Try doing the following at command prompt:
GFXDX12
0
That's a zero, then close & restart AutoCAD to see if that makes a difference
Shutting down DX12 made no change. I assume updating AutoCAD will take administrator rights, which I don't have.
Time to notify the powers that be to update
@mkweaver01 Where do you store your files, and how are you connected to them?
PC or plugged in laptop? Notice the ask on the last one... .
Is this a wifi or VPN or RDP type connection?
Or hardwired?
Are you working remotely, files in the office?
AutoCAD 2025 is not new: did you get a new computer? Did it just get installed?
Did this just start?
Is it file/group of files specific?
Or have you been suffering quietly for a year now?
What about everyone else in your office?
You need 2025.1.2 update asap.
Please answer all dozen questions, or they will be repeated by many that are trying to help you out.
