Happy new year. I know someone might have asked this question. I just want to ask it again to see if I could get some helps.
I would like to select all block references that names contain "*U". Do you know if there is a command for this or a slip that I can use?

They're anonymous blocks, you could try the Filter command and put in "*u*" as the filter, but it will select block names with wildcards before and after the U in any block name.
Or
Try selecting the one block, then right click and say "Select Similar"? That might work?
Use AutoCAD's built-in FILTER command
Under Select Filter: drop down list choose: Block Name
in the edit box enter: `*U*
click Add to List
Click Apply
then enter at the command prompt: ALL
3 objects found and selected ignoring the other Blocks
