I want to make design tutorials via screen recording my AutoCAD.

The typical application I use with other tutorials will not record AutoCAD.

Does anyone know a screen recording program that is compatible with AutoCAD Civil 3D?

The post you provided discusses screen recording software compatible with AutoCAD Civil 3D for creating design tutorials. Here are the key points:

  • The typical screen recording program the user is accustomed to doesn't work with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Users recommend OBS Studio and Camtasia as alternatives that function well for recording AutoCAD Civil 3D tutorials.

These two options are popular screen recording software with different strengths:

  • OBS Studio is a free and open-source program known for its powerful features and customization options. It might have a steeper learning curve compared to other options.
  • Camtasia is a paid program offering a user-friendly interface and built-in editing tools, making it easier to create polished tutorials.

It's recommended to research and choose the software that best suits your needs and comfort level.

Another vote for Camtasia.  It's what I use for my youtube tutorials.  It has powerful and fairly straightforward to use editor features allowing you to easily zoom in/out, add labels, etc.   An example is here.

If you just want a basic screen video capture program tryout Microsofts Clipchamp. It's free but cumbersome to use with limited features.

For what it's worth...

I also use Camtasia for screen capturing my YouTube videos. That said, I've also used Zoom to effectively grab other's screens.
