Hello there,

I have a drawing which is drawn in Meter, but my title block (which I Import to my drawing is in Millimeter) how can I Change my imported template/layout to be in Meter then I can use the scales I need (in my case I want to use 1:500).

My template is A3 paper.

Thank you in advance!

Hi @KB2408,

Can you attach your Titleblock, template file and anything else you think might be pertinent? It sounds like you are already doing this correctly.

Ideally, the titleblock should be placed in a paperspace layout at 1:1 to reflect the actual plotted size. Then the scale factor is set in the viewport. Is this where you are having problems?

Hi,

I suggest to change your insert scale from UNITS command.then insert again your title block.

Thank you, but I don't insert my title block, actually I Import the tamplate where my title block is, to a new layout where my drawing is.

I would set up scales to do the work for you.  For a MS of Meters into a PS of mm, divide by 1000.  So 1:500 would be 1:0.5 or 2:1.  You can name the scales with a prefix of M to mm or something like that.  So for your example you would have M to mm 1:500 and adjust the Scale properties to 2 PS = 1 Drawing Units.

Hi @KB2408,

The first thing I suggest is to open your 02 EP_2 drawing and click on the layout tab.

Then create a Page Setup that reflects the actual A3 paper size that you will plot.

Next you will need to paste in your titleblock to verify that it fits the page..

Next is to adjust the scale in your viewport. I agree with Grant that setting a custom scale to handle meters to MM is a great way to do this. I added this to the scale list and then applied it to the viewport.

Once I did all this to you the drawing, I copied the titleblock to the template and imported the pagesetup also which included the scale that I added to the scale list.

Please let me know if this makes sense or if I missed something.

@john.vellek @GrantsPirate Thank you very much gentlemen!

As I understood it (please correct me if I am wrong):

my tamplate is in MM, and I need the scale of 1:500 for my drawing which is in M. So what you suggested is to change the "500mm" in the scale to "0,5m" (taking in account the steps @john.vellek mentioned)
