scaling and printing

Hello, I am drawing out construction documents and my drawings have to be 1/4 scale to place on a 18 x 24 paper. I constructed my own sheet as well. How would I change the scale of the drawing only and have it print accurately. thanks in advance

It's probably best to draw in actual size (1:1), then plot at a scale of 1 = 4 units.

Always, ALWAYS, draft in AutoCAD at a 1:1 scale. Always.

You can then PLOT to any scale you want at any time.

So if i plot at 1/4" = 1' scale on a 24 x 18 sheet it should print out accurately? I just want to know before I go printing.

Thanks for all replys in advance

Sadly, that's a question with no easy answer since we don't know what else you have done in the file or whether you use paperspace or not.

Post a DWG file and let's see what you are talking about.
