Saving the Display Settings

Hi guys, I am still new to AutoCAD and consistently learning how to master it. I have a question, I do not want to set up the Display Setting every time i create a new drawing. Is there any possible way to set/save the display setting as a custom settings so that we do not have to set it every time we create a new drawing in AutoCAD?

Hi and Welcome to AutoCAD Forum,

When you see these yellow marks in the dialog, this means that the values will change from one drawing to another.. As for the rest, it will remain constant on the program as a whole.

as @Patchy and @imadHabash have said, the settings marked with the dwg icon are not saved in your registry but in a drawing file. So if you want to reuse them in other new drawings you best make a template (.dwt) and use that template to create new drawings.

The other settings should be saved in your registry, and should remain the same each time you launch autoCAD. I see however that you are using a specific profile. A profile can be used to save these settings and each time you start AutoCAD the settings revert to those used in the profile. If your profile is set by the company then you probably won't be able to change it. You can try to update the current profile or you can create a new profile under options -> Profiles -> Add to List. Your settings should be saved in the new profile.
