Hello guys I need help with this problem that happened to me.

When I try to save a drawing instead of opening a tab for me to select a folder and change the drawing name it opens this command where I have to select the kind of file and copy the folder path and paste it manually in the command line in order for the drawing to be saved. If I don't do that it automatically saves in the documents folder under the name of Drawing1.dwg. This never happened to me and I cant find a solution online

I'm trying but I can't add pictures here

Hi and Welcome to AutoCAD Forum,

You may need to set FILEDIA = 1 .

Adding to @imadHabash point you can also check the 2nd point
 Set FILEDIA to 1:
Reset SYSVARMONITOR:
- Type SYSVARMONITOR on the command line.
- Click "Reset All" and then click "OK" to apply the changes.

This should restore the Save dialog window functionality

FYI you can also press the tilde symbol on the keyboard and then <Enter> to bring up a selection window
