Hi all, I ran into the "One or more objects in this drawing cannot be saved to the specified format. The operation was not completed and no file was created" error message. Ruined my week trying to figure it out with autodesk.

Long story short, this was the issue.

Windows Defender, Ransomware Protection. "Controlled Folder Access"

This little bugger prevent saving of files, as well as installation error 1317.

So turn off/add an exception when using autodesk or installing.

We have this happening on a couple of drawings. Nothing special that we don't do everyday, but I suspect it has to do with copying in data from an outside source. One of our users figured out if the view is rotated and then rotated back to World, the drawing would save. That process works on both of the drawings with the issue here.

We have been seeing the same thing here on some older plain acad dwg's. I've tried or eliminated almost everything on this Autodesk KB article So far Wblock does make the file usable not ideal.

I have noticed one thing that may or may not be unique in our case as no one else has posted. If I run an Audit and then save I get no error and the file does indeed save. If I make any other changes or zoom I get the error again. Run AUDIT again then save and the blasted program saves.

Just can't put my finger on why Civil3D 2019 is doing this.

For anyone who comes across this issue, I had the same problem. I could save onto my local hard drive but when I tried to save onto our network NAS it came up with the error "One or more objects on this drawing..." Turned out, in my case, it was and extension called com.sophos.endpoint.scanextension.systemextension causing the problem.

Sophos Anti-virus endpoint protection doesn't support Big Sur at the moment which means, when you try and save onto a mapped network drive, Sophos blocks it.

Solution was to de-select "com.sophos.endpoint.scanextension.systemextension" under System Preferences/Security & Provicy/Full Disk Access/

I RUN AUDIT AND IT DID IT FOR ME. I THINK THE OLD BLOCKS FROM PREVIOUS PROJECT THAT I IMPORTED CREATED THE PROBLEM. BUT AUDIT DID IT FOR ME. NO RECURRENT ISSUE.
