Rotation of insert block in AutoCAD

Hi anyone can please help me.

I am facing a problem when i try to insert block on the floor plan it just let me rotate in the one axis.

But my floor plan and insert extrusion are not showing in the same plane.

Anyone have idea please

Hi,

Sounds like your UCS is not parallel to the floor.
Start command _UCS, use option _VIEW or option _3P so it is parallel to the floor, then insert the block, does that work better now?

Also make sure dynamic UCS is not activated, otherwise it will recognize some faces of the 3D objects to align to while inserting the block

Thank you for you reply i did try UCS and then insert the block still is the same issue the block is actually 3d not 2d and it does not let me rotate height wise i can only rotate length and width

Ok, seems I misunderstood your question then.

To rotate objects in 3D space please use either of these commands:

...both do the same, but work differently

Hi Alfred thank you for your response
Let me recall my question i am sorry if i didn't ask properly initially
I want to insert 3d dynamic block on the simple floor plan and want to
rotate vertically but i can just do it horizontally
Hope you understand my concern

Are we speaking about AutoCAD? Because AutoCAD's dynamic blocks only support 2D dynamic

You can set the UCS so the z-axis of the UCS points into the direction of the rotation axis.

OR ... you use any of the above 2 commands for 3D rotation.
