Rotated text in block is blurry

Hello everyone,

I have a block with some few mtext objects in it at varios rotation angles. Inside the block editor the text is displayed sharp and nice.

When in the model space, the text of the block that that is at an angle other than 0, becomes blurry.

I have set the camera and target to 0,0,0 and 0,0,1 respectively inside and outside the block. all geometry is flattened and with elevetion=0. Don't know what else to do.

Any ideas?

Any chance you can share the DWG file? Or at least the part of it that exhibits the problem?

Thanks for taking the time to answer.
Please find the drawing attached. Strangely, if I explode the block, the text is displayed properly in model space...

I think I found why this happens, but I don't know how to solve the problem.

The block unit is in milimeters. The dwg unit is set to meters.

In the block properties, I see that the unit factor is 0.001 (not editable) and the insertion scale 1.

If I change the insertion scale to 1000, the text is ok, but the size of the block is not...

Hi,

You're right ... your block scaled smaller at 0.001 !!  just change your INSUNITS (System Variable) = 4  then insert again your block in it's real prepared size . check attached test CAD .dwg file . 🙂

Thanks for taking the time to help me out, however it's more convenient for me to have that block in milimeters, while the model space is set to meters. If I apply solution you suggested, the text is sharp, but the size of the block is not what I would like, for example it's 2000m instead of 2m(=2000mm). I will do some more testing.

Your original block is already prepared in mm . So if you want it in meters you should make a new one with the right settings to avoid any future problems .

The non-orthogonal-angle Text looks pretty much the same as the orthogonal-angle Text, for me.  Can you post an image of what it looks like for you on-screen?  How blurry is it?  It could be a screen-resolution thing.

But the ultimate question is, does it plot blurry?  And/or, do you get the same effect with Text in a .shx font?  I have noticed, for example, that Text using .ttf fonts, if used at a width factor other than 1, often looks "bolder" on-screen, but doesn't plot that way.  Maybe this is a similar issue.

Hi again. It's much more convenient to have the block in mm, because most of its parameters are usually in mm, but the "main" drawing is in meters.
The bluriness appears only on the screen, the end-product pdf is sharp.

Anyway, here is what I see on the screen.

I undestand under which circumstances it happens, but I still think it's a bug.
And I thing it's a bug, because if the block was defined in meters and inserted with scale = 1, the text would still be the same size on the screen, but it wouldn't be blurry. try to explode the block and you will see what I mean.

Shx fonts do not have this display problem, but I cannot find an shx font with the full range of greek alphabet characters.
Anyway, thanks everyone for your input.
