Rotate Gradient Hatch within Block

I searched around for an answer to this problem, but didn't find a solution. Gradient hatch patterns don't seem to rotate aligned within a block. Anyone have an answer on resolving this?

I now realize this issue occurs within a dynamic block. In a regular block, the gradient hatch pattern rotates as expected. I should inquire about this in the Dynamic block forum.
