Hi,

Have any options to Rotate Dimension Grip Stretch to End Point ????

watch this video here

All Mtext are justify Top right, so i can easy select grip and move to Xline, Leader can also easy select grip and move to Xline. But Rotate Dimension cannot stretch to xline using grip, because grip is not in End point. If can remove Text from Rotate Dimension ??? or any autocad lisp routines

Thanks & Regards,

Hello @jayhar

Thank you for posting.

I suggest trying to review your Grip Snap & try the AMPOWERSNAP command (Filters>Uncheck Dimensions).

Hi @natasha.l

>> try the AMPOWERSNAP command

This is not a command of AutoCAD, therefor you need AutoCAD Mechanical.

>> Have any options to Rotate Dimension Grip Stretch to End Point

Can you please upload the dwg-file?

I'm not sure to understand the question correctly.

What part  of the Dimension is that?  An extension line?  The dimension line?  Part of a custom arrowhead?  Are there parts that are suppressed, such as an extension or dimension line, or the arrowhead?  Is that grip at the place where something suppressed crosses a part that is not suppressed?

You can "remove" the text by double-clicking on it and "editing" it to be a single space, or picking in the Text override slot in the Properties palette and putting a single space in there.  [More than one  space ends up making a gap in the dimension line.]

Hi @Alfred.NESWADBA

1. All Mtext are justify Top right, so i can easy select grip and move to Vertical Xline.

2. Leader can also easy select grip and move to Vertical Xline.

3. But Rotate Dimension cannot stretch to Vertical Xline using grip (Rotate Dimension is Text Override using space bar gap)

watch this video & dwg is attached

Mtext, Leader & Dimension are move to Vertical Xline for drawing in good order.

if you did not understand watch this video also

Thanks

"1. All Mtext are justify Top right, so i can easy select grip and move to Vertical Xline."

You can use TEXTALIGN to do that job all at once right?

If you are using dimensions only for graphical representation and not for dimesioning purpose, Why not make a dynamic block to suit your needs? This will make your task much simpler and will be more flexible.

Here is a not so fully polished sample Block.

  1. Prepared using an exploded Dimension
  2. Prepared using an embedded Dimension (So that Dimension style changes will reflect Automatically)

Hi @S.Faris

I requesting you to read this post once again.

Hi,

>> if you did not understand watch this video also

Thank you, that made it more clear.

If you move the text of a dimension then the dim-line is made longer then the text, I guess to make sure all text has a dim-line under itself. Sorry to not know if there is a parameter for that in the dimension-style, at least I have not found one.

I would not know a workaround (as long as you need to do this with dimensions) than measure the length of the overshoot (which is 45 in your objects (not tested all)) and move the text-grip point back by that length.

Hi,

>> properties Text offset

That's interesting, because TEXTOFFSET is the distance perpendicular to the dimension line :cara_guiñando_un_ojo:

>>>here<<< it's shown with that sketch:

But good to know it works for you.
