resizing a rectangular

Hello,
I know this is a easy question but I am having problems on getting this to work. Lets say I have a simple rectangle 1100'x1700' and I want it to be 11"x17".
How would you do this in civil 3d if some one can show me a video that would be helpful.
Thanks

hi

as you said its very simple with easy way

1-scale

2-select object.

3-select one base point

4-input 0.01 <------------(11 / 1100=0,01)

or

1-scale

2-select object.

3-select one base point

4- type R ( use this method when its hard to find scale factors by mind)

4-Specify reference length 1100
5-Specify new length   11

see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MrgD47Kgxqs

good luck

That should be:

….

4-input 1/1200 <------------(11 inches to 1100 feet)

or

....

4-Specify reference length 1100'
5-Specify new length   11

You can include the inches mark after that last 11, or not.
