Remove ø from dimension style.

Hello,

I got these drawings that I imported to Revit. I have a problem with them that the default diameter dimension style show the ø and I want to replace it with DIA. I can't see option in Dimensions Style Manager to do that. Any idea how to do that? No text override is used. Thanks

The following method only works if all the Diameter Dimensions are using their own DIMENSION STYLE:

DDIM

Select the Diameter Dimsension Style

Click Modify

Select Primary Units tab

Under Prefix enter: DIA

But if the Diameter dimensions are using the same Dimension Style as other Dimensions then all the Dimensions will now have DIA as prefix.

So if this is the case, then you still select the same Primary Units tab but this time under Prefix enter a space. This will remove the diameter symbol from the Diameter Dimensions. Typically the other Dimensions would not have a prefix so those will not be impacted.

But now you'll have to select each of the Diameter dimensions one at a time & double click on the value so you can manually enter DIA in front.

I just thought of another solution

Create a new Dimension style for Diameter measurement and under Primary Units Prefix add DIA

Then left mouse click to select one of the Diameter dimensions then right mouse click and Select Similar

Bring up the Properties window and change the Dimension Style to the new one you created for Diameter dimensions
