Hi,

Can you tell my how I can remove the hatch from this internal square from the drawing?

I know that I can create a hatch that will isolate internal island but what if I would like to remove some island from the existing hatch ?

Click on your Hatch to bring up the Hatch ribbon.  Click on the icon "Select" in the first Panel.  Use a window to select only your internal square/rectangle. Hit Enter.   Click "Close Hatch Editor".

Done

Click on the hatch. In the hatch ribbon click off the associative button, then on the left off the ribbon pick the select command. Click on the small square polyline that you want to remove the hatch in, hit enter. That should remove it.

Blyoung is correct. You don't need to uncheck the associative box. I thought you did as the first time it didn't work unless I did. I must have missed clicked something as it worked in two subsequent tests.

Hi,

You can use the remove Boundary option in hatchedit.

HI

To remove inside hatch, you can do WIPOUT (WIP) [FOR AFTER HATCH CREATION].

You can use SELECT OBJECT OPTION and PICK INTERNAL POINT option while in hatch creation.

You can also view YouTube video by below link [ ENGLISH VERSION }

In AutoCAD 2019 - In the model space

After you have created polylines around the areas that you want to contain a hatch and not contain hatch

  • Click on the hatch icon in the Draw ribbon
  • Adjust the settings on the Pattern and Properties panel to your preferences
  • Click Select in the Boundaries panel and select the outer shape
  • Click Close Hatch Creation
  • Type WIPEOUT in the command line and click on Polyline
  • Select the polyline that you want to erase the hatch from
  • Click Enter
