Hello
The aim of the post is to speed the design process.
ie. when we create the drawings in the model space and we have set up the dwg file with all the layout settings with for example the "plotter definition" and also the "automatic pubblishing" setted up with definition of the destination folder of output - it is no need to open the file to plot the layouts, don't we?
So we can speed up the design process by pubblishing from outside. If the dwg file is ready to pubblish because it has inside all the settings to be ready to then it will be usefull to start the pubblishing process from the outside.
So we can organize better the work flow:
1. do the drawings in the model space;
2. do the layout preparation with automatic pubblishing settings;
3. do the pubblishing from the outside.
This work flow save times because we do not spend time to open again the file to pubblish or we do not have to wait for automatic pubblish when we save it or close it: we need to care about drawing and setting then we pubblish what we have drawn and setled from outside in a third moment.
To do this we can use a function on the context menu of windows rightclicking on the dwg file setted up. At present on AutoCAD22 with W10 the context menu offers the pubblish to DWF. The DWF format it is not so common where I work and clients doesn't seem to be interested at.
So we need to have the function "pubblish to PDF" there instead or together with "pubblish to DWF"
