Reduce 3d solid resolution for export to SketchUp

Hi,

I'm exporting 3D solids to SketchUp. Those I created in AutoCAD are fine, but I allso created more compex ones in 3Ds Max and converted them to 3D solids bevore exporting them. Is there a way to reduce the resolution bevore export so I dont get such an detailed Models?

Can you tell me your current method of bringing AutoCAD 3D models into SketchUp?

I have had some luck using an STL export and then when imported into SketchUp  I rt-click on the object and then Smooth Edges.
