What actual command is REC calling for you?
Straight OOTB, REC is defined in the PGP file as a shortcut for the RECTANG command, which does not have a "select horizontal/vertical dimension" prompt.

Maybe your REC is a custom command. What happens if you type in .RECTANG (note the leading period)?

Thank you for your replay

When I complete the whole of the word "RECTANG" it asks me to choose the first /other corner <that’s what I want>

But when use the shortcut REC

It asks me to choose the horizontal/vertical dimension to draw, tomorrow I’ll attach screen cast for the problem

Thank you

As I said above "Maybe your REC is a custom command."

Who is the admin of your CAD system? Sounds like they have defined a command with the shortcut REC. Ask them.

Or it could be an add-on you have: REC for the rest of us is RECTANG command and nothing else.

Do this if you aren't sure, it should get rid of all non-AutoCAD content in your setup https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to...

Create an ASCII file named "AcadDoc.lsp" and put it in the TOP path in your Support File Search Path.

Inside this file, put the following autolisp code.

(defun c:REC () (vl-cmdf "._rectang"))

Save the file.

Start a new drawing.

REC should work now.
