Aside from the DesignCenter blocks, are there blocks for e.g. the plan view of a door, a window, and commonly-used symbols like arrows etc?

The symbols libraries in plain AutoCAD are just 'samples": you either need to create your own library of blocks, purchase a library of blocks, or in your can maybe you should be upgrading to use the correct variant of AutoCAD that has everything for walls/doors type work like this one http://www.autodesk.com/adt

Hi @Anonymous,

As others have suggested, there are some sample blocks that are included in your installation but they are really just that. For instance, you will find doors and windows in the Tool Palettes Accessible from the View menu.

While these might work for you, I have found that they don't fit my standards or practices so they are merely examples of what can be done.

You might try a little searching on the Internet for the block types you are looking for or even check out the Autodesk App Store to see if there are some there that you like.

Please select the Accept as Solution button if my post solves your issue or answers your question.
