Re-install AutoCAD 2017

My laptop suddenly quit completely and couldn't be resurrected, so I bought a new one. Now I want to re-install my 2017 license. I salvaged the hard drive out of the old machine and can read it with a harddrive-to-usb gadget. The 2017 installation folder seems to exist, but when I run "setup" it complains that it can't find certain files and/or web pages.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Forget the old hardware. Just download, install, and activate as normal.  If you have certain things like custom menus, hatch patterns, linetype files, etc. - you can copy those over later.

Hello @BFane

Yes, it seems its not worth the trouble, you can easily locate a download from your Autodesk Account or our Autodesk Virtual Agent.
