Raster image disappearing

Does anyone know how to keep the raster image from disappearing when you move it? It does not disappear when I pan or zoom, only when I try to move it.

You can set IMAGEFRAME to 1. That will put a border on the image. The image will still disappear when you move it but you will still have the frame. I don't know if there's a way to make the entire image show when moving. After you move it you can turn the frame back off by setting imageframe to 0. The frame will print so if you don't want it too you need to shut it back off. If you try and put the frame on a non plot layer the entire image won't print as you are really putting the image on a non plot layer.

Also RTDISPLAY is the variable to make the image stay visible when panning which you have set obviously.

I just found a thread that has a similar question answered. An autodesk support employee said currently there is no way to make the image show when moving. The post was from June 2014, so it's old but I couldn't find anything newer. So you'll probably need to just use the frame as I suggest in my previous post.

This doesn't work in all situations but a trick I have used as a work around is to drop a point on the image that you want to move. In other words if you are moving an image from Google earth an you are trying to locate it to a position in your drawing, I would pick the point on the image (like the corner of a building) that I want to move it by and place a POINT. Then select your point and image at the same time and move them. You have to use the node snap to grab it but It can be helpful in some situations

Does changing your visual style from 2dWirframe to Wireframe make a difference?

It does.

You can change it to 2D Wireframe afterwards.
