"~" creates a center line symbol, but will not batch plot top PDF

"shift+~" creates a center line symbol, but when you batch plot the symbol does not plot to PDF and shows the "~" instead. The .dwg shows the centerline symbol the whole time. 

How can I batch plot the centerline symbol to PDF? 

I may have to update/modify

another file of some type....

Which custom font is in use? Which PDF driver?
shift+~ doesn't do anything like that in AutoCAD OOTB except create more ~ here.

Your font file is not being read in your PDF driver to make the conversion.
