Quickleader heights

I was on REVIT too long. Am now at another firm and am back on AutocCAD.

I have forgotten how to set the text height for a Quick leader.

I can easily change the height once I am finished, but would rather not need the extra step.

QLEADER settings are controlled by DIMSTYLE command: and if STYLE command has a size defined (aka not zero) it can affect that too.

To set the text height for a Quick Leader in AutoCAD without having to adjust it afterward, you can do this by setting the default text height for your leaders:

  1. Open AutoCAD and type LEADER into the command line to start the leader command.
  2. In the Leader Settings dialog box, click Modify (or type D to adjust leader settings).
  3. In the Text section, look for the Text Height field and set your desired height for the text.
  4. Click OK to save the settings.

Now, the text height for any new Quick Leaders you create will default to this value, and you won't need to adjust it manually each time.

You might want to check and see if your company is using multileaders (Mleaders) instead of qleaders. Mleaders are one object instead of 2.
