Hello from Memphis, TN,

I am trying to determine how much of a particular layer is used in my drawing.  I have close to 1000 parts in a project, but only want to know "finished edges" of a given part so I am isolating those specific layers and then my question is what to do next to perform some additive function to get a total length of all the lines.  Thank you for your help.

calculating total object length.  Yes!  This is what I am trying to do.  I don't see how to do this from your link.  Am I to rename the cad file I'm working in or rename something in the zipped file?  Thank you for your help.

in the zip file there are 2 .png and 1 .lsp (not .pdf)

Drag the .lsp into your Autocad drawing area and use the command LENCAL

(There are a few options to select the entities)

If it works, then you can add that .lsp to your startup suit by using the command APPLOAD.
