What am I missing with Quick Select? I try to run thru the dialogue box and have it select "entire drawing", "by color", "= green", "add to new selection set ok --- 0 item selected.
I select a green line, quick select, by color, = green, add to new selection set, ok --- 0 items selected
I select my entire drawing, quick select, by color, <>green, remover from selection set, ok -- 0 items selected
No matter what I do, no items are selected. I tried to use it on a drawing that has 2 green lines on it and it will tell me 0 items selected.
Thanks for any help
Terry

There are over 16 million colors, Autocad only sees ONE of those as 'GREEN' when you select one of your green lines and open the properties palette does it actually show that the line is green or is that line one of the true color variations and using RGB values.
I started a new drawing, drew 2 green (index color) lines and 2 red (index color) lines. Went thru the whole dialogue box to make the selection =green. 0 item selected.
Are the green objects green because they have that color assigned to them as objects [overriding their Layer's color], or only because they're on a Layer that's green? If they're on a Layer that's green, and their color is ByLayer, then QSELECT looking for green things will not see them.
Hi,
It's Normal .. AutoCAD is looking for a green color and you have a Bylayer color .. for that you have 0 selected objects . for that you can get what you need faster maybe by SELECTSIMILAR command and don't forget se (settings) .
