Quick properties window hangs in Block editor

Recently I installed Autocad 2016 (coming from 2014) and until now it is not making me happy.  There are some new functions and elements which should enhance the usablilty but do the opposite for me.  As an example: I hate the new tab page that is annoying when you, like I do, are used to cycle through drawings by clicking CTRL+TAB.

But what really is a problem is the disfunctioning of the quick properties window.  Every time I use it inside the Block editor it hangs. When I select an element like a dimension it keeps showing that element.  Turning Quick properties on or off does not help.  The only thing left to do is closing Autocad and opening it again.  Is this a bug?  Does anyone else have this problem?

Turn off that START tab: STARTMODE variable. It's probably worth you explore what's new in 2016's HELP and explore the new commands and variables.

I'm not a fan of QPM myself and it's turned off, but if the image is left on screen it may be that 2016 is taxing your video card: start GRAPHICSCONFIG command and change one or more settings and see if the problem goes away. 2015 added a new graphics engine not found in 2014, and 2016 changed it yet again.

Yes this is a new bug in 2016 and messing with graphics driver settings or startmode as suggested does not help. It is annoying.

I was having the same problem, at first.  Now it's worse.  The Quick Properties just doesn't appear.  I use it almost exclusively, and not until 2016 (We've had all versions from 2007 on, as subscribers.) have I had a problem with it of any kind.  I really hope they fix this.  My co-workers have the same problem.  It seems to be intermittent, too.  I hadn't had any trouble with it but once or twice in the last month, and now it's really bad, and I've had to restart AutoCAD about a dozen times since yesterday.  I wish there was a fix, but I get the feeling Autodesk isn't going to do anything about this one, because the hotfix we just got didn't address it, and I daresay it may be what's made it worse for me now.

It could just be the options you have selected to show up in QP.   The only issue I have ever had with QP (from the beginning) is with hatch, if the area option is enabled is lags.  other than that it's fantastic.
