Quick Access Toolbar Customization Glitch

I have had this same issue since at least AutoCAD 2017, on three different PC's.
Whenever I customize my Quick Access Toolbar to include a few extra buttons that I want, everything is great.  But after a few days, the Quick Access Toolbar returns back to the default toolbar with the minimal buttons.
I'm not changing work spaces, loading new profiles, or anything like that.  And when I look in the CUI, there is no alternative Quick Access Toolbar, just the default one.

Next time change another part of the cuix too,

it sounds like your it overwrites your cuix!?

If so, not only the QAT will change.

Is this a cenbtralize shared CUIx file between all three computers? AKA an enterrpise CUIx?
Are you manually saving your active workspace with WSSAVE command after editing the QAT? It is required.

Or you have a corrupt CUIx file, or you have a 3rd party add-on or startup replacing it all, or you are using an Enterprise CUIx file which individual users cannot modify and maintain those changes.

You need to spend the time and effort to find out what happens with your setup "after a few days".

I think @c_huls means that he has personally used three different PCs, with the same problem on each since version 2017. Nothing was mentioned about sharing a file among PCs at the same time.

You can also see in the attached image (cui.jpg) that this is not an enterprise cui.

Please explain what you mean. Change another part of my CUIX?

There is no IT.  This is a single user license.

This is NOT a shared CUIX file.  It’s a single user. I meant that it has happened on separate machines, and with different versions of AutoCAD (16, 18, 18, 20).

And I don’t have any third party add-one.

No, I haven’t been manually saving my workspace. I’ll try that.

What i mean is: I think it is not only the QAT what changed back to standard, my thought is thaw the whole

file is another one, an older one.

I guess it isn't an Autocad problem, but with your roaming windows profile

or backup feature, depends of where you save your main cuix.

Where is the cuix located, which path?

Edit your QAT,

save your Workspace

close Acad, save you cuix (ZIP)

Next time when you starts Acad and you see the issue, keep acad open and check the cuix-file date!

I've done what you said.
The Acad.CUIx file is located in C:\Users\MY NAME\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2020\R23.1\enu\Support
That folder is NOT being backed up in any cloud services.

Interesting Twist: I customized my QAT earlier when I posted this.  After the first couple responses, I duplicated the QAT in my CUI and named it COPY.  I didn't shut down AutoCAD at all.

I have been away from my desk all afternoon.  When I came back to my desk, my menu was back at the default again.  However, I was able to simply go in to CUI and copy from the COPY version to restore it.  If I have to do that every time I open AutoCAD, that will be tedious...
