Hi,

>> my own edited aliases

Are you speaking about AutoCAD Map 3D (or Civil 3D)?

Because "Query AutoCAD" is not a function from AutoCAD (which is handled in this forum), and "aliases" has a different meaning in Map 3D for queries (where you have paths saved) compared to "aliases" in AutoCAD which is part of shortcuts for commands (most handled in ACAD.PGP).

In the meantime (guessing you mean Map 3D / Civil 3D command _ADEDRAWINGS ==> assign) you can search for the file "acadmap.ini" for your current Map 3D / Civil 3D program data path, like
C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\C3D 2025\acadmap.ini

(for Civil 3D 2025)

There you'll find (using a text editor) the defined alias definitions, which can then be copied to the file "acadmap.ini" for your new Map 3D / Civil 3D version.

Sorry for the confusion. It is basic AutoCAD.

In your current AutoCAD type in the command line:

Command: (findfile "acad.pgp")

You will get a result similar to this:
"C:\\Users\\jupa\\AppData\\Roaming\\Autodesk\\AutoCAD 2026\\R25.1\\enu\\support\\acad.pgp"

Copy this acad.pgp file into the appropriate path of your new AutoCAD.
