Your UCS is Z & Y , instead of X, Y.   Just type UCS and View....you should be able to select the quadrant.

Although i pressed UCS, View, and the ucs icon became as in pic 1, i couldn't snap to quadrant.

What is the difference between the drawing imadhabash sent and mine?

In imadhabash's drawing the shape of the UCS icon is like in pic 2, which is  a bit different from mine (pic 1)

Your Snap2.jpg shows the UCSicon located at the WCS location.  Snap1.jpg shows the UCSicon moved from the World 0,0,0 coordinates.

Hi,

Method A:

1. Is there any reason you need to draft your drawing on the "right" plane?

2. Is there any reason you need to dimension in paperspace?

3. is there any reason you need to keep this drawing's coordinate?

If 1 and 2 and 3 = no

Please use my revised attached drawing to continuous your work.

I 3D rotated it to the top surface.

Method B:

Use your original drawing.

double click your cursor into the viewport.

command:UCS > E enter...............then choose the horizontal line for rotate UCS.

Now you can choose the osnap of "qua".......but only can use it in model space.

How did you rotate the whole drawing in 3D?

I created a new drawing on the XY plane of the WCS and tried to copy-paste all the entities from the previous drawing but they were inserted as one line, they were still on the YZ plane, like in the original drawing.

Also, the rotate and align commands applied in the original drawing don't help.

command: 3DROTATE (default acad.pgp shotcut seems is 3R)

as i remember your 2D drawing seem drafted on the "right" plane.
if use command: copybase. you can also copy it to another drawjng:
1. rotate your view to the one you think is correct.
2. UCS > view (rotate ucs to follow current view).
3. copybase > pickpoint > select your object.
4. go to the new drawing, make sure on top view and ucs=world, then paste your drawing there.

p.s. for the concept, if we draft something on paper, then look at the side view, it will look as a single line. Same to your case
