Purchase from Autodesk or Reseller?

I'm looking for recommendations regarding if I should purchase my Autodesk software directly from Autodesk or through a reseller.  I have some resellers offers some perks, but in my experience I haven't seen any.  Any recommended resellers?  What perks do they offer?

Thanks,
Brad

Would you like to talk to a human easily when you have a licensing hiccup, or upgrade? then go for a reseller.

Of course there is a great chance you will have no issues, and you can go solo, but if something does go wrong... You like being bounced around and waiting for days for an email reply from a giant corporation that thinks of you as just a number? Buy direct.

If you want recs let everyone here know what region of the planet you reside in.

Hi,

Are you very sure which of the products from Autodesk is the best for you/your company?

They have a lot of products for different branches, but you can't call them and ask which one is the best for your workflow(s).

Also for AutoCAD (and AutoCAD based verticals) there exist a lot of plugins and applications, which might bring you additional value ... Autodesk does not sell 3rd party applications. Could be an important difference.

We were purchasing from Imaginit, Autodesk's largest reseller. Now we're renewing with Autodesk directly as licenses with Imaginit expire. If you require a lot of product support and training, resellers may have something to offer. But understand this support comes at additional costs above and beyond licensing expense. If you don't require a lot of support, just purchase product directly from Autodesk. I do find Autodesk to be quite helpful and supportive over the phone and via email/chat. The expectation of a Reseller helping you settle on the right product is somewhat questionable. An example......you'll never hear about Fusion360 from a reseller because reseller's can't resell or profit from Fusion 360. A reseller will always push you to use HSM Works instead. HSM Works is a product they can sell at 5x the price of Fusion, plus the cost of support of course. I personally feel like resellers don't have as much to offer as they once did. You'll find answers to most questions on Youtube or forums.
