I can't download AutoCAD 2016. Everytime it starts the instalition it tells: "Proxy Authentication Required" and I don't know what to do, I'm not a computer genius, I don't even know what's a proxy. Smiley LOL

I've downloaded the 2014's version before, and I just want the last version. Can sameone help?

Hi,

>> Everytime it starts the instalition it tells: "Proxy Authentication Required"

This means that your administrator has blocked global traffic to internet, everytime a program tries to access internet the router/proxy needs to get teh access allowed ... by using name and password. This should protect the internal network from applications which connects to some servers in the internet and transfer data (not allowed data).

In your case I would not start the installer from the Autodesk site, use "Browser Download" to download the installation media. And when the download is finished then start the installation from that local place.

>> 'm not a computer genius

Ask someone more familiar with computers as it might be needed to do some administrative settings (like install as administrator, disable antivirussoftware, ...) during or before the installation.

Hi,

go through Autodesk Virtual Agent >>>click<<< ==> Download links ==> select your product ==> and then download the product's installation EXE.

When the EXE is fully downloaded then you can start this as administrator.

If you were asked to use or install a downloadmanager then do not use it.

Hi!

I didn't solve my problem. I tried to download AutoCAD from the link that you sent to me but it takes a while and then it doesn't download it, it tells me that there's an error. I tried many time but it's always the same thing. So I decide to download AutoCAD 2015, the students version, but when it start the installation it tells me that there's an internal error. I don't know what to do! I seriously need  to download it because I need to do a project on it. The funny thing is that it is not the first time that I've download it on my computer, but now it doesn't work. Why? I've got a Lenovo with Windows 10.

Hi,

AutoCAD 2015 is not supported on Windows 10, period.

That release of AutoCAD (2015) tries to install some modules not compatible with Windows 10 and without  some tricks you won't get it installed (and if it's installed you might have problems running the software).

Which error? Can you provide any info which gives us the possibility to help? Show us what you see (screenshot), if available upload log-files, the more info we get the better the chance to get valid suggestions.

Surfing on Internet I found out that AutoCAD 2015 is not supported, so I have re-downloaded AutoCAD 2016 and when it start installing is telling me the same thing that happened before. The imagine it's in italian. I think this happens because I've Windows 10, but there's no Autocad the support this version?

Hi,

>> How can I know it?

Please apologize my words, but you have setup your system, you do administrative things (like software installation), who else should that know?

And as I read that you've got a Lenovo, did you uninstall all the vendor add-on's?

And please upload the log-file created during the setup.

I think I have done anything of this on my computer. Can you tell me step by step what should I do? Sorry for my ignorance.

Hi,

>> Can you tell me step by step what should I do?

Sorry to say no, I can't.

It really seems to be necessary that someone sits in front of your workstation and try those things, someone knowing a bit about operating system and network.

Look for a friend knowing more about that to look into that issue, to try to find out why your system thinks it's using a proxy and how to pass it. The most strange thing is that you wrote that you disconnected your pc from any network and the installer asks for authentication even not connected to the network.

I guess when this is solved then the installation should work, but I can't describe all the options to try now as that needs hours to write that and I'm not sure, how much is understood from what I'm trying to describe.

Maybe anyone else here has "the single tip", but sorry that I'm out.

Good luck, - alfred -
