Autocad 22.

So beyond slow

Crashes constantly

Join command won't work half the time

Snap modes snap to arbitrary points (if they snap at all).

Ortho turns itself on and off randomly

Script and lisp files disappear at random

That stupid and useless 3d cube is a pain to get disabled,

Osnap randomly turns itself off

Pickbox randomly turns itself off

Trim command doesn't work half the time

And those are just the things I noticed in the first hour.

What did they do with this last update???  2022 is so beyond bad.  It's like they purposely ruined it.

I really miss Autocad 2018

No issues here in Win10Pro. Maybe you need to start over and skip migrating your old content this time (and skip any add-ons) https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-r...

OR https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Recommen...

Then install the 2022.1.2 Update: ABOUT command will confirm what you have installed. If not, get it from your Autodesk Account Page here https://manage.autodesk.com/cep/#products-services/updates
Restart your PC afterwards.

If you re still using your R2018 PC, you might need to also Set GFXDX12 variable to 0 (that's a zero) then restart AutoCAD/LT2022: reverting to DirectX11 fixes similar problems for most users.

It would appear you also have keyboard issues perhaps?

Files disappearing is an IT issue or file management issue, or an AutoCAD profile switch/change?

It sounds like you've got problems outside the realm of AutoCAD as well as stuff that can be tweaked within AutoCAD.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Hi @collothen,
Welcome to the Autodesk Forums.
I've used 2022 for the last year and I'm not having any of those problems.

Hi and Welcome to AutoCAD Forum,

I'm sorry that you have such a problems .. Under normal conditions you must not have these weird things !! So let's have the follow :

  • If you select to immigrate a previous data from older version to the new one , then it's expected to have some strange and unexpected errors .
  •  If you have any outsource plugins or lisp that already installed .. also expect to have some problems .

It will be great if you can make a   screencast   that show us all of your problems .
