Hello good day! , I have a problem, my Autocad is saving me an extra file in PDF from the original file in DWG, will there be a solution to remove that extra saving?, because it is not even a print, it is the original file, only in PDF format

Do you have AUTOPUBLISH turned on by chance? Look up usage in HELP, appears to be from your post.

Hi @Anonymous

I doubt those are PDFs. I think it's a backfile .bak which has been set to open in a PDF viewer.

In the File browser click on "View" and then checkmark "file name extension" and you would see the PDF file which you are talking about is actually with extension .bak 🙂

  • It is necessary to have it configured that way, cannot it be deactivated in some way? or is it something by default ?.

Turn on file extensions in Windows File Manager: I bet they are not PDF files at all, are they?
Here is how to do that https://www.thewindowsclub.com/show-file-extensions-in-windows

Then reassociate BAK files like this https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-forum/backup-files-are-associated-to-wrong-program/td-p/69847...
