Problems viewing point cloud in AutoCAD

Afternoon all,

I have a native point cloud file which I have taken into ReCap and saved as *.rcp. when in CAD I import the file via POINTCLOUDATTACH, identify the origin on screen and a bounding box appears saying 'point clouds are not displayed in 2D visual style'. Now this seems an obvious fix - alter the visual style right..? Well I have done that and changed from realistic/conceptual etc etc and the point cloud does not appear.

I appreciate this may well be a stupid question though having trawled the web for the last half an hour I cannot find a solution I would appreciate it if anyone could shed any light on this for me.

Please see below screen grab

Hi,

Point clouds are displayed only when a 3D graphics card is available and the current visual style is not 2D Wireframe. Otherwise, a bounding box is displayed as a substitute for the point cloud.

You'll want to verify that your video card is certified here: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/syscert?siteID=123112&id=18844534
