Problems Trimming with Hatches

Hi, 

I've searched the forum and can't find any relevant answer to my problem. 

I'm trying to create hatch floor finishes and then trim, I'm getting the 'this item cannot be trimmed' error. 

I've reset UCS, flattened and checked all on same plane, redrawn the poly line/hatch; still having the same problem. 

Any ideas?

Where? Which hatch pattern?

Any of the hatches; I can't trim any on that dwg. I get the same error
message. But I can trim other polylines on the drawing; it's just hatches.

Hmm, I drew this box and used TRIM command on all three hatches right there, no issues at all

Eugh, that's so frustrating. 

It's just not working for me, it doesn't make any sense. 

Maybe I just set up a new drawing and import all the info I need....
