Problem with using vport

I have often used vports to compare areas.

Today, if I zoom into one of the viewports, as soon as I go to the other view, the first view goes back to the original view. In other words, I can't see both viewport up close at the same time..

This is a new problem this morning.

What could I have changed to cause this problem ?

Is there a setting I have forgotten ?

Model or layout viewports? If the latter, and they are locked, does the issue go away?

OR... is UCSFOLLOW turned on and it is just doing what it does perhaps?

it was UCSFOLLOW.
