I have a problem with text offset option: the distance from text to the dimension line doesn't change with any value that I set in text offset box in tool palette.

Please help me!

Hi,

You're talking about DIMGAP (System Variable) .. this sysytem variable Sets the distance around the dimension text when the dimension line breaks to accommodate dimension text.

As you can see there is a condition which is not available in your case >> Click <<

thank you for replying!

Could you please show me how to change DIMGAP to apply to my dimension?

This is the setting you want in the Dimension Style editor:

The DIMTAD [DIMension Text Above Dimension line] System Variable is related, and Help says the distance of the text from the dimension line is from DIMGAPEDIT:  Might you have manually positioned the text, in which case it wouldn't relocate with a change at the Properties palette?  Does DIMEDIT Home fix it?  Further EDIT:  When I change that number in the Properties palette for a selected Dimension object, my text does move to a different distance from the dimension line, as in @WeTanks's video.  It doesn't look like it's doing that in @imadHabash's video, so I'm at a loss to explain it.

I don't understand that the text only moves horizontally, instead of moving vertically when the value of text offset is changed? I try to fix it but it is doesn't work.

I move the text as instructed in image, but the text does not relate to the dimension anymore.

@petite24021989 Manually moved dimtext remain "stuck" in their manually located location, PROPERTIES will never move then until you reset their location to default...

Or DIMTEDIT command's HOME sub-option
