Problem with linetype display

Problem with linetype display

I have a problem with a CAD drawing that I received from a client that I need to import into my CAD file. The problem is, some line doesn't show the linetype properly. I'm not drawing in 3D but it appears that the line type of existing lines show up as if they were drawn in an elevation plane. It's hard to explain so I'm attaching 2 snapshot that shows the problem. The left line is what I want (everything fine when I draw a new line). The right line is what happens with some existing lines. If I look in 3D I see that some line has a top plane orientation which is good, but others have an elevation plane orientation which causes the lines to look standard even if I'm supposed to see slashes on them. How can I "rotate" the linetype so they show properly in top view? I tried FLATTEN, SMASH, CHANGE/ELEVATION and nothing work.

Thanks

Finally, I tried using flatten on a few object instead of all the drawing elements and it seems to correct the problem.

Hi @Anonymous,

I see that you are visiting as a new member to the AutoCAD forum. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

When I load your file it indicates that I am missing two shape (SHX) files: EXI13.shx and DEM13.shx

I suspect these are required in some of the linetypes that are inuse.  DO you have these files to share?
