Problem with construction lines

Since a while I do have a problem drawing construction lines. I'll try to explain the problem...
Before, when I drew a construction line, I could pick any snap point on the drawing like corners of a solid as first point. Then the second one.
Now, when I pick a first snap point in the drawing my pointer disappears and when I click I get the message "invalid".

When I pick a random point in the drawing it works well.

What did I do wrong???

Can you post a video of your actions so we can see? This free recording tool from Autodesk works very well https://knowledge.autodesk.com/community/screencast

Apparently it only happens when I choose a corner pick point...

Thanks for the video: I am not able to replicate the problem here at all in any of my files.

AutoCAD2011 and Win7 are not new: has this ever worked? Or is the problem only in this one single file?

Looks like the second point of the Construction line is also getting selected where first point was selected, so the error invalid points. Check if the system variable OSNAPOVERRIDE is set to "0"

If that's the issue, it could be a faulty mouse, that's sending two pick signals with only one click.

Try to turn off the perpendicular osmode and see if that help...

Also, does it happen just in viewport corners?

Can you remove all the content of the dwg and post just the layout?

That doesn't help... It is with EVERY drawing, not just this one and in 2D and 3D as wel. It only happens in corners. The problem began after installing the attached lisp file.

It happens with all kind of drawings and in every view.

I know it's an old version of ACAD (I do have recent ones but all my plugins work fine in this version and I want to keep it working...), and WIN7 is stil the best OS for me... sorry.
It all started when I started to use te Lisp file that you will find in another reply.

It doesn't look like that routine involves drawing  any construction line(s), so I assume it's not in the use of  the commands defined in it that the problem occurs, but in drawing such things outside  those commands.

Does it occur after that file has merely been loaded, or only after you have loaded it and used  one of the commands in it?  If the latter, does it matter which one, or does it happen after you have used either  one?

Strange thing happened since I use that routine. Fist I added it once with appload (not in the startup suite). There was something strange after I used it for the first time. All my Object snap settings were gone! Every time that I use the routine this happens. Not a big deal for me to set them back but is is a strange thing.
Now, I'm not 100% sure that this routine has to do with my construction line problem but that problem appeared at aprox the same time...
I removed the routine from my startup suite and relaunched ACAD. The problem is still there... So I put it back.
I can show you if you want using teamviewer?

Found the problem! When I remove the perpendicular setting of the snap mode it works... Very strange...

I'm also facing the same problem in AutoCAD 2020.

Just disable the perpendicular snap mode. It works fine for me now.

Is that a glitch or something? I'm facing this problem in some files. I've just followed your recommendation and it all working well. Now it's working whether the perpendicular snap is on or off.

I never felt this problem until the last few months. I used AutoCAD 2018 before and never found this problem.
