Printing to PDF with trasparency - not a raster image

Good morning,

I would kindly ask if someone knows how to print a pdf with trasparency with autocad. When I generate a pdf, the original drawing become a kind of low quality jpeg with the trasparency on it. So, i would like to know if:

-There's a way to print a "vectorial pdf" (not raster!) with a solid trasparent hatch? om prder to keep the quality..

-If not: there's a way to print without antialiasing, and with a better quality?

Thanks for your tips!

make sure you TICK the PLOT TRANSPARENCY in the print dialog window

If this doesn't work, kindly post a screenshot of your print setting and also post your file, as it would make is easy to find a solution to this.

thank you faris,

I know how to obtain the trasparency, it is the result that seems quite bad.. here's my try:

from bottom to top:

-solid hatch (80% trasparency) with lines in background

-ANSI 31 hatch (80%), with solid hatch in background (the circles)

-Superposition of two solid hatches

If you look at the lines, them are in super bad quality..

I noticed that you are using ADOBE PDF as the printer, the trick here is to use AUTOCAD TO PDF. Refer to the attached Printer setting as AUTOCAD to PDF supports Vector more efficiently. i am also attaching a test DWG file i prepared and also the PDF output i got with the attached printer settings

None of us knows Everything 🙂 That's why we should share what we knows, even if it is so little.

Happy to  be of some help to you.
