Hi there

We have a customer find when setup printable area in print setup, the measure unit change when choose A4/A3 or A1/A0. If choose A4/A3 size, the unit is stay at millimeter. If choose A1/A0 size, the unit change to inch. Please find attached photo. I chose a hp printer and adobe pdf driver as a sample. This makes customer confuse when they setup the printable area. Customer prefer to keep use the unit millimeter on different media size. This can be happen on different version of AutoCAD, like 2011, 2016..Would you please help to check if there is any setting could correct this. Thanks a lot!

"ISO" pages are listed in mm, not much else, if you want to use built-in PDF drivers (unlike your HP driver example, which is not from Autodesk).

Hi Dean Thank you very much for the reply. I think we are talking about different position. The problem is in the setting of printable area. Yes, the paper size are shows in mm, but I mean, when enter the printable area setting, the unit change to inch for A0/A1. Our customer is actually use HP printer, so I take both HP printer and PDF as samples because all of them have the same problem.

Again, you are choosing the wrong paper size, and repeating the same problem, our HP plotters have A0 in ISO as well, which is in mm.

if you keep selecting inches paper sizes you'll only get inches dimensions everywhere.

ISO A0 is what you want, no AO not any other page size. If it doesn't say ISO it's not in mm. Hoep this helps, see image below.

Hi Dean

I see your point. HP 1050c is a very old product, some printer driver already show A0, A1 instead of ISO A0, ISO A1 now.

I found the issue is only happen on PS driver or some graphic driver, please find attached word file which cut the screen of hp GL2 driver, PS driver, and another Canon product driver, as well as Adobe PDF driver. All of these are non PCL3 or  GL2 driver.

You could see the unit change to inch only happen in Printable Area setting, in paper size position it is always mm.

If possible, would you like to install the driver to try. I insert the driver download link in the word which are from hp&canon website. Thanks a lot!
