Hello All,

I am trying to model a rectangular 3D slab with size 4.3mX1.6mX0.16m with a duct of 15.7mm.

The duct should start from center at one end and then should go parabolically to the other end ending again at center. the maximum depth of duct should be 50mm .

How can i do that?

I'm having a hard time imagining what you're describing.  An image [even a scan of a hand sketch] would be very helpful.

hi,I am Attaching a sketch of it. I need a rectangular slab with a duct in between which is parabolic in nature.(the duct varies parabolically)

Are you modeling tension rods in the slab?

I guess the remaining concern would be the Parabola.  That can be made using a degree 2 spline.

I'm not sure about all the dimensions, specifically the duct dia.(15.7 ?), or what the 0.05 M drop refers to (duct wall), but the attached is my interpretation.

This screencast demonstrates the viability of a degree 2 spline as a parabola:
