I want to position some text in a position relative to the corner where the line and box meet. Can anyone suggest how to do this please?

With Object Snap Tracking [F11 key], along with Polar Tracking [F10] including the 90-degree direction, and Object Snap including either ENDpoint or INTersection mode [F3], and Right justification of the Text. Read about Osnap Tracking in >Help<. It takes a little getting used to, but it's quite powerful once you grasp how it works.
