Polylines not joining

I'm very new to AutoCAD so please forgive me if this question is very basic.

I'm trying to join two polylines using PEDIT but the lines refuse to join. So far as I can tell the Z values are the same and the lines do not suffer from the issues mentioned in other posts. I've attached the file I'm having trouble with - I'm trying to join all the lines that make up the outline of the guitar body (the red lines). Any help will be greatly appreciated as I have spent quite a long time on this. Thanks!

Hi and Welcome to Autodesk Forum,

as i see from your drawing you have to close all gaps you have, after that use BPOLY command to make one polyline for the guitar body.so the problem exist in gaps which you will see it after really zoom in.
