Polyline Vertex

Hello everyone

I don't understand, why sometimes I am not able to add or remove a vertex on a polyline. The small pop-up window, when you hover over a vertex, doesn't display. Than, consequently, the issue can be seen when global width is set, as the polyline is displayed as two broken segments, and not as one continuous.

It would be great, if someone could explain why this particular phenomenon is occurring (what is happening in the background), so that the polyline can be edited predictably.

I hope the image I put together will help you understand what I am trying to say.

Vertex no.1 is the issue I am talking about where as, vertex no.2 is properly working.

Regards

It looks like that Polyline goes around and "closes" by just drawing back to the start point, and not with the Close option.  It is not truly "closed" as AutoCAD means the word.  So there are two vertices at the same location, which would be the reason it doesn't offer those options [which of the two should it add a vertex after, or which of the two should it remove?].  This also happens at a vertex location in mid-Polyline with two coincident vertices [draw one with Snap or Osnap on and pick in exactly the same place twice in a row], not just with start and end vertices in the same place.
