Polyline command acting up when drawing on rotated UCS via the viewcube

I am at my wits end.  I have never had this issue in over a decade of autocad use.  The polyline or PL command is acting up when trying to draw on alternate UCS views.  Our template has an Alternate Front, Left, Right, Back, and Bottom view.  There were created by clicking on the view cube.  Enter UCS > View > UCS > NAmed > Save > (Entering desired name)  For most this is obvious but it makes it so we can remain in say an isometric view and easily switch from drawing on the front plane, left plane, without actually rotating to see the view face on.

Now these views have works for years I am sure this is not the issue.  When drawing a rectangle, circle, or line everything works fine regardless of the ucs view. As soon as I draw a Pline on anything other than the original top for the World UCS it is doing weird stuff.  Some examples are the origin of the line is offset from the crosshairs.  The end of the pline will then move in opposite direction of the crosshairs.

I have attached a link to the screen grab video.

Someone please help me with this. I have no idea what could be causing this or what changed.

Thank you to help figured it out :cara_con_una_leve_sonrisa:

2D-POLYLINE + ROTATED UCS + VISUAL STYLE for 2D (2D WIREFRAME) = preview wrong.

@MatthewFortune

It's an older bug, awkward,  but start your support case or any other way as bugreport,

the more people get in touch, the better.

How do you go about reporting a bug to Autodesk?

Then you now have all the information, case solved, issue still there, but workarounds available.

Another thing I learned today.  I have always gone to the view tab and clicked on the Appearance section of the ribbon and it always adjusted the view.  I never really paid attention to the next spot over on the ribbon for the Coordinates section of the ribbon and used the Named UCS Combo Control pull down.

Thank you.

I changed the UCS to Front, Right, etc using your method and tried it again for each view.  It is still happening.  I MUST assume this is a setting that somehow got activated as this was not happening last week and I have been using my old method for almost a year on this exact pc.   I have also used this method in the past at previous jobs on different computers without issue.   This issue only appears on this computer Monday morning of this week.

Hasn't that already been discussed?
and everything cleared up.
So far everyone has agreed, or at least not objected.
I would be surprised if it was different on your old system
either you have used a different polyline-type, or you have used a different visual style.
My guess, my opinion.

I had a support call with a similar issue in ACAD 2025where the user was using named UCS's and switching between them he couldn't snap or draw on the orientated/custom UCS, as PLINETYPE was set to 0. so PLINTETPE<2> resolved the issue.

I think this should be the default value when moving to newer versions as it is generally set to 0.
